- Intro to Blacksmithing: Students will learn basic forging techniques and metal manipulation that will help you move up to the next level of blacksmithing or into bladesmithing. Includes making a wall hook with hole punch. Additional projects if time allows. Duration: 3 hours Cost: $145
- Intro to Bladesmithing: Students will learn the basics of bladesmithing by forging 1084 high-carbon steel stock into a full-tang utility knife. Students will learn to forge, heat treat and grind the blade. Finish with a wrapped paracord handle or come back to learn how to make a full-tang wood or synthetic handle. Duration: Approx. 6-8 hours Cost: $310
- Railroad Spike Knife: Students will learn the ancient craft of blacksmithing in our flagship railroad spike knife class! Forge a railroad spike into a knife, good for hunting, camping, ornamental and all-around utility. Bring your own spike if you’d like. Techniques covered: forging a handle and blade to shape, twisting steel, belt grinding for profiling the blade and refining the shape. Duration: Approx. 5-8 hours (one hour lunch) Cost: $325
- Chef Knife Class: As part of the 2-day Chef Knife Class, students will learn to make a rough-forged 5-8-inch chef knife, more than perfect for everyday kitchen use.
